FAQ's - Frequently Asked Questions

What do we require for vaccines to board at the stables?

We require all clients to have the Fluvac and Rhino vaccine in the spring and the fall (every 6 months) as well as tetnus once a year.  Because we are a boarding facility we also recommend that boarders strongly consider Strangles vaccine.

We also require all horses to have a current Negative Coggins

What will the first few weeks be like after my horse arrives at the stables?

We have found that horses adapt very well after they arrive at the stables.  But we are very cautious to make sure the transition period goes well and your equine partner is solidly ready to be mainstreamed into their prospective herd.  Your horse will be placed in a transitional lot for the first fourteen days after their arrival at the stables.  They will be closely monitored, temperature taken and feed evaluated to make sure they will make this transition as smoothly as possible.

Will my mare and gelding be able to be in the same pasture?

If you are the proud owner of a mare and a gelding we offer a "Family Pasture"that both of your horses can be together.  Our four main full time pastures are divided into two mare and two gelding all seperated by a grassy lane.

When I have a lesson with a trainer, will other people be able to use arena?

We offer two arenas for your use.  One is our 100x200' outdoor arena and the other is 60x120' indoor arena.  Our trainers are very willing to share the arena even if they are giving a lesson to a fellow horseperson.

What time will my horse be brought into their boxstall when coming in the evening?

Horses are put out to their prospective turnouts at dawn and are usually brought back in at dusk.  Stall horses are fed their evening hay and grain in their stalls and are usually given their morning hay in their pasture or paddock.
